World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships

For the first time ever in the United States, the 2025 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships (WMACi25) is taking place in Alachua County, Florida, from March 23 – 30, 2025. This eight-day international competition features:

• 23 indoor and outdoor athletics events
• Over 3,700 participants representing 99+ countries
• An estimated 9,000+ visitors

In addition to world-class competition, WMACi25 will feature a lineup of live music performances throughout the week to keep the energy high. Enjoy a variety of talented artists, including local favorites and lively entertainment.

Athletes, visitors, and spectators can immerse themselves in the Athlete Village at Celebration Pointe, the ultimate gathering spot for relaxation and entertainment throughout the event. This vibrant village features interactive activities, a dedicated kids’ zone, a game area, lounge seating, a full bar, and more, creating the perfect place to unwind, socialize, and celebrate.

Who Are the Competitors?

Masters athletes are aged 35 and over, competing in five-year increments up to 100+ years old. Events include:

• Indoor Track & Field
• Outdoor Long Throws
• Cross Country
• 10K Road Race
• 10K Race Walk

Key Dates:

• Opening Ceremony: March 22, 2025, at 6 PM at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center
• 5K Road Race (Open to the public, all ages): March 29, 2025, at 10 AM at Celebration Pointe
